Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Drug arrests: Officer Morgan Jones of the drug enforcement unit was in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. yesterday and saw a man and woman allegedly selling drugs. He arrested them and seized 13 capsules of heroin and $130. Michael Hanson, 19, of the 2100 block of N. Dukeland St. and Donna Crawford, 36, of the 2800 block of Clifton Ave. were charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin.

Drug arrest: John Pulley, 35, of the 2800 block of Lauretta Ave. was arrested yesterday in the 2700 block of Edmondson Ave. and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin. Police seized $65 and eight heroin capsules.

Drug arrest: Officer Peter Sullivan saw a man allegedly selling drugs yesterday in the 600 block of Poplar Grove St., arrested him and seized $170 and 20 capsules of heroin. Michael Gardner, 40, of the 3000 block of Arunah Ave. was charged with possession with intent to distribute the drug.

Drug arrest: Officer Raymond Yost of the drug enforcement unit was in the 500 block of N. Loudon Ave. yesterday and saw a man allegedly selling heroin and cocaine. The man was arrested and police seized 25 capsules of heroin, 10 plastic baggies of cocaine and $30. Dubois Lipscomb, 50, of the 4400 block of Mountview Road was charged with possession with intent to distribute the drugs.

Northeastern District

Shooting: A man, 26, was leaving a restaurant in the 6600 block of Harford Road about 4 a.m. yesterday when a gunman shot him at least twice in the upper body and drove off in a car. The victim was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. His two male compaions were not hurt.

Southern District

Theft: A man wearing a New York Yankees skull cap entered a 1995 Dodge Caravan in the 700 block of Washington Blvd. on Wednesday and stole three mountain bicycles -- all valued at $670.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary/arrest: The female occupant of an apartment on Honey Bee Court used a baseball bat Wednesday to fend off a burglar, who had shattered a patio window to gain entry. The woman had called 911; Officer Dennis Quirk responded and arrested the man. Gregory Louis Johnson, 47, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary and held on $10,000 bail at the county Detention Center in Towson.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: After a man entered a cab at Back River Neck Road and Homberg Avenue about 3 a.m. Wednesday, he was driven to Stemmers Run Road, where the driver pulled a knife and robbed him of more than $100. The victim told police the cab's colors were black over yellow but could not identify the cab company.
