Glenelg High School musicians will present their second "Jazz Under the Stars" outdoor concert at 5 p.m. Sunday at Chapel View Farm, 2640 Jennings Chapel Road in Woodbine. The Glenelg Jazz Ensemble, which has recently issued a compact disc, "Impressions," will perform and provide accompaniment for well-known rhythm-and-blues singer Deanna Bogart of Clarksville.
Last year's concert drew an audience of about 800, said Barry P. Enzman, director of bands at the school.
The Glenelg band was named Grand Champion Jazz Ensemble at the Orlando National Festival of Music last month, and has also competed at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague. The group's CD, which costs $15, may be purchased at the school. It will be available for sale at the concert.
