Bank will launch door-to-door service for area businesses

This month, BankAnnapolis is taking its merchants' teller window on the road.

The bank has signed up more than a half-dozen customers for door-to-door banking, in which a courier will pick up noncash deposits from businesses to reduce or eliminate customers' time-consuming trips to the bank.

Mark H. Anders, BankAnnapolis president and CEO, said door-to-door banking is "such an obvious customer service move that only the banking industry could have avoided it this long."

BankAnnapolis has five branches in Anne Arundel and Queen Anne's counties, and recently opened new headquarters at 1000 Bestgate Road.
