Loyola rally tops Brown, 11-9

Stacey Morlang scored five goals and added an assist to lead No. 8-ranked Loyola to an 11-9 come-from-behind victory over host Brown in a women's college lacrosse game yesterday.

The Greyhounds (13-4) took a 3-1 lead in the first half before the Bears (5-1) scored the final four goals of the half to take a 5-3 lead at the break.

Morlang, who had scored two goals in the first half for Loyola, started the comeback with back-to-back goals, cutting Brown's lead to 8-5. Sophomore Bekah Rottenberg scored her third goal of the game to regain a four-goal lead for Brown, but Loyola scored the final six goals of the game.

Monmouth 18, Mount St. Mary's 6: The Hawks (11-7) got four goals and two assists from Stacy Sydlo to advance to the championship game of the Northeast Conference tournament for the fourth consecutive season in West Long Branch, N.J.

Ashley Rusk (St. Mary's) and Erin Gargan (Mount de Sales) each scored two goals in a losing effort for the Mount (5-13).
