Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Officers assaulted/arrest: After being arrested for disorderly conduct, a handcuffed man assaulted Officers Jackie Hurt and Juanita DeBellotte on Monday in the 2100 block of W. Lexington St. The man struck DeBellotte in the head with his cuffed hands and elbowed Hurt in the face. Hurt was uninjured, but DeBellote suffered an injury and was treated at Bon Secours Hospital. Daniel Conway, 30, of no fixed address, was charged with disorderly conduct and assaulting the officers.

Shooting: A man was in the 1600 block of Clifton Ave. about noon Monday when one of two men on bicycles shot him in the left arm. A half-hour later, the victim showed up at Sinai Hospital for treatment.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 32, was in the 2400 block of Greenmount Ave. about 11:15 a.m. yesterday when a gunman shot him several times in the body and fled. The victim, a resident of the 2600 block of Guilford Ave., was in serious condition last night at an area hospital.

Southern District

Theft: A mountain bicycle valued at more than $500 was stolen Monday from atop a 1997 Honda Civic parked in the 900 block of Light St.

Theft from vehicle: Golf clubs valued at $1,000 were stolen Monday from a 1994 Jeep Cherokee parked in the 800 block of McHenry St.

Burglary: Two air conditioners with a total value of $500 were stolen Monday from a garage in the 1200 block of Battery Ave. Two teen-age boys were seen leaving the garage with the appliances.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry valued at nearly $1,800 were stolen Monday from the second-floor bedroom of a house in the 100 block of N. Denison St.

Burglary: Stereo equipment and two videocassette recorders -- all valued at more than $400 -- were stolen Monday from a house in the 4500 block of Manordene Road.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Vandalism: Someone fired several shots from a 9 mm handgun on Yataruba Drive and nearby Dayta Drive about 2 a.m. Saturday, shattering the window of a house, puncturing a car door and hitting a mailbox. Four spent bullets and 11 empty shell casings were found at the scenes.

Burglary: A dishwasher and stove -- all valued at about $1,000 -- were stolen during the weekend from a house being built in the 8600 block of Willow Run Road.

Burglary: Two computers, a television and a videocassette recorder were stolen Friday from a house in the first block of Walden Pine Court. The burglary was reported Monday.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: During business hours Monday, someone entered an office at the Dollar Express store in the 11900 block of Reisterstown Road and stole more than $1,000 left on a desk.

Robbery: A gunman robbed the McDonald's restaurant in the 9700 block of Groffs Mill Drive of an undisclosed sum of money about 11:20 p.m. Saturday. The robber also took cellular phones from two employees and removed the videotape from a surveillance camera.
