Salisbury St. women take CAC title in 2 OTs

Host Salisbury State scored once in each overtime period to defeat Mary Washington, 12-10, in the Capital Athletic Conference Championship Game yesterday.

James Madison 6, Loyola 5: Michelle Zurfluh's goal with 47 seconds left sparked the No. 3 seed Dukes (10-6) to an upset victory over the top-seeded Greyhounds (12-2) in the Colonial Athletic Association championship. The host Dukes earned their fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament.

UMBC 21, Mount St. Mary's 8: Renee Tirocchi and Katie Pickett each scored five goals to power the Retrievers (7-5, 4-1) past the visiting Mountaineers (4-12, 2-3) in the Northeast Conference.

Men

Mount St. Mary's 21, Siena 5: Kevin Merlini and Bryan Cole each scored three goals as the Mountaineers (8-5, 7-1) cruised past the host Saints (0-10, 0-6) in the NEC.
