Dziedzic, Smithson, Bruchey join Cornerstone

Cornerstone, a Baltimore-based ad and public relations agency, hired John Dziedzic as director of public relations, Mary Smithson as an account manager and Ryan Bruchey as assistant account executive.

Dziedzic was formerly a vice president with Atlanta-based WestWayne, where he advised several national firms, including Checkers Drive-Thru Restaurants and the Sports Authority. He is a graduate of Florida Southern College.

Smithson, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, most recently worked with the Retailer's Bakery Association. Bruchey, formerly with Ames Sullin O'Haire of Atlanta, is a graduate of Towson University.

Helfman is copywriter, West, Doner account chief

Doner Direct hired Jonathon Helfman and Amy West as staff members in its Baltimore office.

Helfman, a University of Maryland, College Park graduate, is a senior copywriter. He is assisting in servicing the ADT Home Security and Sylvan Learning Centers accounts. West, an account director, was previously with the Marsh & McLennan subsidiary, Seabury & Smith. She oversees the Aegon insurance programs account.

Lowenthal is senior VP at St. Agnes HealthCare

St. Agnes HealthCare appointed Dr. Steven B. Lowenthal senior vice president of clinical systems and academic affairs, with responsibility for clinical departments, medical education and clinical residency programs and utilization management.

He formerly was senior vice president and chief medical officer at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, Ill., and associate dean of Rush Medical College. He is a member of the American Urologic Association, the American College of Physician Executives and the American College of Surgeons.
