Glen Burnie pitcher Tina Willis gained her first win yesterday and she did so in spectacular fashion.

The junior pitcher no-hit Old Mill as the host Gophers captured a 1-0 victory over the Patriots.

Willis, who came into the game 0-3, went the whole way, striking out 14 batters for the Gophers (4-4) and allowing just one walk. She also hit three batters.

Glen Burnie got its only offense in the sixth inning. Junior Amy Rainier hit a single, her third of the day, and pinch runner junior Jen Aschcom came around to score the game's only run.
