Police seek food store robber who fled on bike

State police in Westminster are looking for a man who robbed the Eldersburg Martin's Food Store, then fled on a bicycle Sunday.

Police said the man entered the store in the 6300 block of Georgetown Blvd. about 12:20 p.m. and approached a cashier with merchandise. After the cashier told him the total purchase price, the man said he was armed and demanded money.

The man fled on a maroon bicycle after taking an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

The robber was described as a white male, about 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He wore a black hat, black sweatshirt and tan khaki pants and carried a tan backpack, police said.
