Business awards to honor leadership in equal opportunity

The Equal Business Opportunity Committee of the Howard County Economic Development Authority and its partners in economic development will hold their awards program to recognize outstanding leaders and achievement from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. April 24 in Ten Oaks Ballroom, 5000 Signal Bell Lane, Clarksville.

Tickets are $25, including breakfast. Reservations are requested by April 18.

Chamber schedules motivational meeting

The Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce, 312 Marshall Ave., Suite 104, Laurel, will hold its monthly motivational meeting for chamber members in sales or marketing from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Geriatric service coalition offers marketing workshop

Carolyn West Price, president of Ellicott City-based IMPACT Marketing and Public Relations Inc., will speak at the Coalition of Geriatric Services' marketing workshop, "Creating Visibility and Credibility Through Creative Marketing," to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 18 at the Developmental Services Group Conference Center, 6355 Woodside Court, Columbia.

The cost is $25 for coalition members; $35 for guests; with a $5 surcharge for tickets purchased at the door. A workbook is included.
