Indians update

Cleveland fans will get to see what all the fuss is about concerning Sabathia, who's making the jump from Double-A. He has never started a game in the majors, leaving him only two short of McElroy. The Indians split a season-opening two-game series with last year's AL Central champions, the Chicago White Sox. Newly signed Juan Gonzalez homered twice on Opening Day. Another new addition, outfielder Ellis Burks, is batting .429. Travis Fryman is on the disabled list, leaving third base to power-hitting Russell Branyan. Another change was made behind the plate, where Eddie Taubensee has replaced Sandy Alomar. Hentgen is 6-2 with a 3.84 ERA in 15 career games against the Indians. He has allowed nine runs in 28 1/3 innings at Jacobs Field. The Orioles are 10-26 at the Jake since it opened in 1994.
