Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Drug arrest: Narcotics officers were in the 1700 block of Bloomingdale Road about 5 p.m. Tuesday and observed a man allegedly in possession of narcotics. They arrested him and seized 18 gelatin capsules of heroin. Adrien Townes, 21, of the 1600 block of Ellamont St. was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

Drug arrests: After observing an alleged drug transaction between two men Tuesday in the first block of S. Monroe St., narcotics officers arrested them and seized 28 gelatin caps of cocaine and $100. Albert Gibson, 48, of the 1800 block of Wilhelm St. was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Howard Collins, 35, of the 400 block of S. Payson St. was charged with simple possession of cocaine.

Drug arrests: Narcotics officers arrested two men and seized four gelatin capsules of cocaine after observing them allegedly dealing drugs Wednesday in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. Ricky Oliver, 37, of the 2600 block of W. Fayette St. was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Edward Mack, 43, of the 300 block of N. Grantley St. was charged with simple possession of cocaine.

Theft: Stereo equipment, a television, a videocassette recorder, a stereo turntable, two telephones, a quartz clock and clothing were stolen overnight Tuesday from a house in the 500 block of Jamestown Court. The property was valued at more than $1,000.

Officer assaulted: An unidentified district officer was assaulted by a man about 8:30 p.m. yesterday in the 1200 block of N. Rosedale Ave. The bare-chested attacker fled. The officer was not injured. Details of the incident were not available.

Drug arrest: After observing a man allegedly selling drugs Tuesday in the 700 block of N. Longwood St., narcotics officers arrested him and seized 23 vials of cocaine and more than $50. Xavier Davis, 21, of the 1300 block of Limit Ave. was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Drug arrest: Narcotics officers arrested a man, 21, on Wednesday in the 2800 block of Ellicott Driveway and seized nearly $60 and 11 plastic baggies containing marijuana. Steven Briggs, 21, of the 1200 block of N. Dukeland St. was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Central District

Robbery: A woman, 22, was in the 400 block of W. Lexington St. about 4 p.m. Wednesday when a man approached her and said, "It's check day and I know you have money." The man then placed an unknown hard object into her back and robbed her of $5 and a cellular phone valued at $150.

Northwestern District

Burglary: A 19-inch screen television, a videocassette recorder and a stereo system - all valued at $1,000 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 3300 block of Spaulding Ave. The thief entered through a window after removing an air-conditioner.

Northern District

Theft from vehicle: An undisclosed sum of money was stolen from a vehicle parked Wednesday in the 2100 block of Huntingdon Ave.

Burglary: During store hours Wednesday, someone entered the office at Food King in the 5300 block of York Road and removed more than $1,000 from a safe.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone and a wallet containing an undisclosed sum of cash were stolen from a 1999 Mercury parked Wednesday in the 4400 block of Eastway.

Theft from vehicle: Someone entered a 1990 Buick LeSabre parked in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. on Wednesday and stole an in-dash stereo system valued at $300.

Southeastern District

Stolen car: A 1995 Plymouth Neon with tags ZYP 699 was stolen Wednesday in the 3500 block of Foster Ave.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Bank robbery: After a man entered Mercantile Bank & Trust in the 100 block of Painters Mill Road at 2:33 p.m. Wednesday and asked about loan forms, he pulled a gun and forced two bank employees to give him money from at least one cash drawer and the vault. The robber then forced the employees into the vault and fled. Moments later, the workers, who were unharmed, left the vault and called police.

Burglary: Two chain saws, a circular saw and lawn-care equipment were stolen Wednesday from a barn in the 5700 block of Emory Road.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A boy, 14, was arrested Wednesday after he was observed stealing chrome wheel covers from a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro parked on the police station lot in the 1700 block of Merritt Blvd. The car is owned by a county police officer who was on duty at the time. The boy was released to the custody of his parents.

Theft: Between Aug. 1 and Jan. 21, a man's former girlfriend used his automated teller machine card to withdraw more than $26,000 from his bank account. Police said the man, 70, a resident of Midhaven Road, had broken up with the woman, 55, and did not report the unauthorized withdrawals until Wednesday. No arrest had been made.
