The label "giant killer" is beginning to fit the Mount de Sales softball team just fine.

For the second time in as many weeks, the Sailors took out the metro area's No. 1 program, knocking off top-ranked North County, 4-2, at the Catonsville Senior Center yesterday.

Ranked fifth in the area, Mount de Sales rode the 13-strikeout, two-hit performance of sophomore pitcher Jessica Taylor and four Knights error in the sixth inning to improve to 6-1.

Last Wednesday, Mount de Sales defeated Archbishop Spalding, 1-0, in a game that stopped the Cavaliers' 36-game winning streak.
