Wilde Lake parents to discuss school redistricting tonight

Suggestions to be used when board considers new boundary lines

April 05, 2001

Parents of prospective Wilde Lake High School students and community members are invited to a meeting on redistricting at 7:30 p.m. today in the Wilde Lake High School cafeteria, 5460 Trumpeter Road, Columbia.

Participants will be asked to comment on factors that should be considered when boundary-line adjustments are made. The discussion is taking place in anticipation of the opening of Reservoir High School in August 2002.

Similar discussions are being held in all county high schools so that a report on community concerns can be made to the Boundary Lines Advisory Committee of the Board of Education. Suggestions gathered at these meetings will be studied by the committee as it develops ground rules for redistricting to submit for consideration by the board.
