Wilde Lake's Candidates Night is April 16

Wilde Lake Community Association will hold a Candidates Night at 7 p.m. April 16 at Slayton House in Wilde Lake Village Center.

Residents are invited to hear brief presentations by candidates for the 2001-2002 village board of directors and Columbia Council representative and ask questions or voice concerns.

Refreshments will be served.

The community association is seeking artisans to participate in its "Taste of Wilde Lake" spring fair from noon to 4 p.m. May 19. Entertainment, games and a craft sale are planned.

Senior center to hold movie night April 29

The Florence Bain Senior Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way, will present a "Classic Movie Nite," for ages 55 and older, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 29.

The feature film "His Girl Friday," in which Cary Grant plays a newspaper editor and Rosalind Russell an ace reporter ready to quit journalism for marriage, will be shown.

Admission is free. Family and friends ages 18 and older are welcome.

Town Center planning yard sale April 21

The Town Center Community Association will hold its Village Wide Yard Sale from 9 a.m. to noon April 21 at Town Center Park on Vantage Point Road.

Admission is free. Sellers will not be charged a fee, and tables will not be provided. Bagels and drinks will be provided.

First-time homebuyers workshop set for April 11

The Harper's Choice Community Association will present a free First Time Homebuyers' Workshop from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 11 at Kahler Hall, 5440 Old Tucker Row.

Programs available to first-time homebuyers will be discussed.
