Clinton shops, glad-hands at British airport

Former President Clinton caused a stir at Heathrow airport when he shopped in the duty-free area during a stopover on the way to India yesterday.

Clinton, who was flying to New Delhi on a commercial jet to tour the region devastated by a January earthquake, browsed in Heathrow's shops for about an hour, accompanied by a half-dozen Secret Service agents.

He paid $82 for a silk tie decorated with green frogs, $115 for a small enamel box from Harrods and $12 for a cigar.

Clinton shook hands with dozens of travelers who crowded around him and posed for photographs as he walked through the shopping area.

Star of his own show?

Murray Jordan, the producer of "Cops" was arrested on drunken driving charges while in Atlanta to meet with police and set up filming of an episode of the reality series.

An officer who stopped Jordan, 64, for making an illegal left turn in Atlanta's Buckhead section Monday night, smelled alcohol on his breath, according to police.

While Jordan told officers he had four glasses of wine with dinner, police said, his blood-alcohol level was measured at .136 percent. The legal limit in Georgia is .08. Jordan was freed on $1,000 bail yesterday.
