Dance to benefit scholarship fund of Elkridge Adult Athletic Association

Elkridge Adult Athletic Association will sponsor a Spring Scholarship Fund-raising Dance from 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. April 21 at Ellicott City Armory, 4244 Montgomery Road.

The band Appaloosa will provide music. Proceeds go to the EAAA Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $20 per person; $170 for a table of 10.

Cider Mill petting farm set to open April 16

Cider Mill Farm, 5012 Landing Road, Elkridge, will open for its spring season April 16. A petting farm - including ducklings, chicks and bunnies - hayrides and pony rides will be available.

FOR THE RECORD - The Parent Support Networks of Centennial and Mount Hebron high schools will present "HC Teen Job & Activity Fair" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 at Centennial High School. Employers, community service groups, and summer programs and activities will represented. An evening program described in yesterday's Howard County edition of The Sun, "Healthy Summer Choices: Job, Camp and Community Service Opportunities for Teens," will not take place. The Sun regrets the error.

A new feature, "Goat World," will offer children the opportunity to pet, brush, feed and play with goats.

Organization is planning a spring gala Saturday

Resurrection St. Paul Home and School Association will hold a Spring Gala from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday in the Great Room at Historic Savage Mill.

Parent networks to hold healthy summers series

The Parent Support Networks of Centennial and Mount Hebron high schools will present the next series of evening programs, "Healthy Summer Choices: Job, Camp and Community Service Opportunities for Teens," at 7 o'clock April 12 at Centennial High School.

Howard SPARKS: Laura Sessions Stepp, author of "Our Last Best Shot: Guiding Our Children Through Early Adolescence," will speak at the first SPARKS Community Resource Fair from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. April 18 at Howard High School in Ellicott City.
