Suspicious fire fought at vacant apartments

April 01, 2001

Baltimore firefighters battled a suspicious blaze in Cherry Hill last night that began about 6:15 p.m. on the top floor of the vacant Charles K. Anderson Village apartments in the 700 block of Reedbird Ave.

Firefighters had to knock through cinder block-filled windows and doorways in the three-story building to bring the fire under control. Neighbors said the vacant apartment complex was scheduled to be torn down this year.
