Home & Garden Show in Washington

Catch two events in one at the Washington Home & Garden Show, formerly the Washington Flower and Garden Show. Today through Sunday at the Washington Convention Center, you can meander through dozens of gardens bursting with more than a million blooms, including tulips, magnolias, orchids, rhododendrons and daffodils. The floral fantasies, created by Washington landscapers, include woodlands, waterlily ponds, waterfalls, formal gardens and terraces. After stopping to smell the flowers, it's time to search for everything you need for your home. How about a $35,000 front door? More than 400 booths are set up this year, stocked with all sorts of products for your home-building and remodeling needs.

Show hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. today and tomorrow, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. The Convention Center is at 900 Ninth St. N.W. Admission is $4 and $9. Call 703-823-7960.
