Gas station robbers spray chemical on clerk

JESSUP - Two men robbed a Waterloo Shell station Saturday after using a chemical spray on the clerk, Howard County police said.

The clerk told police that two men entered the station at 7894 Washington Blvd. at 8:50 p.m. and approached the counter as if to buy something, then sprayed the clerk.

The men took money from the register before fleeing, police said.

Man with handgun robs motel, police say

LAUREL -Valencia Motel was robbed by an armed man at 5 a.m. yesterday, police said.

According to police, the motel clerk said an armed man went to the counter, forced the clerk into a closet and took cash from the register. He fled the motel, at 10131 Washington Blvd., in a light-blue van, police said.
