A Domino's Pizza store in the Hickory Ridge section of Columbia was robbed Friday night by a man with a gun, Howard County police said.

Police said the man - described as black, in his 30s or 40s, and wearing a bandana over his face, a white hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans - entered the store about 9:40 p.m., showed a chrome handgun and demanded money. The clerk gave up an unknown amount of cash, and the man fled.

Police said witnesses saw a compact vehicle leaving the area, in the 6400 block of Freetown Road, at high speed.
