Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Flim-flam: A woman posing as a Provident Bank employee bilked an elderly East Baltimore couple out of about $2,000 Monday by convincing them that money they had withdrawn that day from the Eastpoint Mall branch might have been counterfeit. The woman gave the couple a receipt for the money and promised to return it that night. When she failed to show up, the couple called police.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a woman, 20, of $85 Monday in the 800 block of E. Fayette St.

Southwestern District

Drug arrests: Southwestern, Western and Northwestern drug enforcement unit officers posed as dealers Friday at Poplar Grove Street and Westwood Avenue and arrested 25 people who tried to buy narcotics. Five others were charged with hindering and two with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Officers seized seven vehicles, $1,423 and at least eight small plastic bags of cocaine. Three suspects were from area counties and one from West Virginia.

Central District

Drug arrest: District drug enforcement unit officers were in the 500 block of Baker St. when they observed a man allegedly selling cocaine Monday. Officers arrested the man and seized 19 vials of cocaine and $25. Calvin Taylor, 31, of the 800 block of Brooks Lane was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and resisting arrest.

Southern District

Theft: A printer, fax machine and a computer -- all valued at nearly $2,000 -- were stolen Monday from a trailer parked in the 3100 block of Asiatic Ave.

Eastern District

Robbery: Two teen-age boys knocked a boy, 9, off his 20-inch bicycle Monday in the 2600 block of E. Biddle St. and stole it. The bicycle was valued at more than $200.

Thefts: Computer equipment valued at more than $5,000 was stolen between Friday and Monday from offices and a research room at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the 600 block of N. Wolfe St.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A bench valued at more than $600 was stolen between Thursday and Monday from the front porch of a house in the 12800 block of Manor Road.

Wilkens Precinct

Theft: Stereo equipment and tools were stolen from a Ford sedan parked Monday at Varsity Auto in the 5600 block of Old Frederick Road.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A calculator valued at $80 was stolen between Friday and Monday from a room at Middle River Middle School in the 800 block of Middle River Road.
