Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: A gunman fired several shots into a passing Pontiac Grand Am about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of E. Monument St. He missed the driver but hit the passenger, a man, 18, from Northwood, in the lower back. The victim was driven to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was in critical condition yesterday. No arrest had been made and police knew of no motive.

Robbery/arrest: A woman was in the 1400 block of Madison St. about 3 a.m. Friday when a man grabbed her from behind and robbed her of a Bible, her coat, wallet and cellular phone - all valued at more than $200. Moments later, a homeless man was arrested. Eric Warren Worthington, 43, was charged with unarmed robbery and assault.

Robbery: A man assaulted a girl, 15, about 6 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of E. 22nd St. and robbed her of a coat, jewelry and a watch - all valued at more than $100.

Robbery: A woman, 31, was placing her child into her car about 9 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of E. Chase St. when a man tried to steal her purse. She resisted, and the man implied he was armed with a handgun. Fearing for her life and the child's, she gave up the purse containing cash and property - all valued at more than $200.

Robbery: A boy, 11, was robbed of his scooter - valued at $112 - by two older males who knocked him to the pavement in the 3000 block of E. Monument St. about 9 p.m. Friday.

Robbery: A woman, 49, was refueling her car at an Amoco station in the 1900 block of Belair Road about 9 p.m. Friday when she was assaulted by a man who stole her purse containing $60 and a cellular phone - all valued at $200.

Assault: Police were seeking a teen-age male known as "Champ" who is accused of cutting another male, 18, on the neck and above the right eye during an incident about 7 p.m. Friday in the 2400 block of E. Lafayette Ave. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one armed with what appeared to be a hand grenade, robbed Chevy Chase Bank in the 6300 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money about noon Saturday.

Burglary: A cast-iron chair and an iron boot scraper were stolen during the weekend from the front porch of a house in the 7100 block of Sheffield Road.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A woman's gold ring - valued at $200 - was stolen after she took it off to try on another ring Friday at the jewelry counter at the Wal-Mart store in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A bicycle, three sleds and furniture - all valued at more than $300 - were stolen from a house in the first block of Heartwood Court between March 4 and March 13. The burglary was reported Saturday.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery try: A man asked an employee at Radio Shack in the 3600 block of Offutt Road about a telephone adapter about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, then displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. When the employee failed to open the register quickly enough, the gunman fled.

Burglary: Power tools and surveying equipment were stolen during the weekend from Back River Supply in the 12200 block of Owings Mills Blvd.
