New positions

Mumford, Synan, Latts take posts with BACVA

The Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association hired James Mumford as membership services manager, Dave Synan as national sales manager and Linda Latts as regional sales manager for the Midwest region.

Mumford, who holds a master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, is responsible for memberships sales and services. He formerly was sales manager for Restoration Hardware in Atlanta. Synan, former senior account representative for the Baltimore Convention Center, is responsible for convention sales to groups in the Northeast and on the West Coast booking 500 or more rooms.

Latts, assigned to BACVA's Chicago office, is responsible for developing the meetings and convention business from the Chicago area. She formerly was account director for the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers.

Painter, Russell join SSi software consulting firm

SSi Consulting appointed Alwyn R. Painter software sales consultant and Stacie Russell as marketing assistant for the regional business management software consulting firm.

Painter, assigned to SSi's Baltimore headquarters, is focusing on generating sales of the company's Great Plains business software. A Bloomsburg University graduate and a certified public accountant, he formerly was with Naden/Lean CPAs in Lutherville. Russell, a Villa Julie College graduate, previously was an administrative assistant with Re/Max Columbia.

Banking and finance

Bradley is PSA Financial director of development PSA Financial Center, of Lutherville, named Henry N. Bradley Jr. director of development for the financial services company. He is responsible for sales, business development and training. A native of Salisbury, Bradley graduated from Salisbury State University and most recently was an associate vice president for agency services at Nationwide Insurance.


CPA Kovacs is partner in Clifton Gunderson LLP

Clifton Gunderson LLP admitted F. Jeffrey Kovacs as a partner in the Calverton-based accounting firm. He is assigned to the firm's Washington offices. The Pennsylvania State University graduate is a certified public accountant and a member of several charitable and professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Health care

Sinai names McClanahan to executive post

Sinai Hospital appointed Sheila McClanahan director of performance, risk and credentialing for the Northwest Baltimore health facility. Formerly director of risk/claims management at Maryland General Hospital, the Baltimore resident is a law graduate of Wake Forest University.
