Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Drug arrests: Police raided a house Wednesday in the 200 block of N. Linwood Ave., arrested five people on drug charges, seized 2 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $9,500 and nearly $1,300 in cash. Two others were being sought.

Central District

Drug arrest: A man was arrested Wednesday in the 1300 block of N. Fremont Ave. after police said they observed him allegedly selling narcotics. Officers seized 25 gelatin capsules of heroin and $40. Thomas Simms, 27, of the 1700 block of N. Broadway was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

Southwestern District

Drug arrest: After observing a man Wednesday in the 2500 block of Edmondson Ave., police arrested him and seized 17 vials of heroin and 15 plastic baggies of cocaine - all valued at $320. Frank Alexander, 32, of the 2400 block of Lauretta Ave. was charged with possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to distribute.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed a woman, 30, of a cellular phone and more than $300 about 8:35 p.m. Monday in the 4000 block of Reisterstown Road.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Blockbuster Video in the 2300 block of Cleanleigh Drive of an undisclosed sum of money about midnight Wednesday.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A compact disc player, 40 compact discs, perfume and clothing - all valued at more than $1,000 - were stolen Wednesday from a 2000 Honda hatchback parked in the 1800 block of Towson Ave.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A television and an imaging monitor - all valued at $1,700 - were stolen Tuesday from an office at Procter & Gamble in the 10100 block of York Road.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: More than $1,000, a .38 caliber revolver, a DVD player and a diamond necklace were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 100 block of Carraway Road in Reisterstown.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, jewelry and an electronic keyboard were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 3500 block of Slade Ave.

Suspect arrested: Maurice A. Burtwell, 22, of the 600 block of N. Mount St. was arrested Tuesday in the 4700 block of Drayton Green in Arbutus, Baltimore County, by the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and the Baltimore Regional Apprehension Task Force. Burtwell was charged in a warrant with first-degree murder in the Feb. 18 shooting of Darnell A. Palmer, 20, of the 1500 block of N. Stricker St., who was shot about 11:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of Winchester St. and died a short time later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
