St. Patty's Day Walk

Join the Freestate Happy Wanderers Saturday for a walk along loops that form the shape of a shamrock. The group's St. Patrick's Day Walk follows a 10K trail, with options of 5K, 15K and 20K. The loops are on a combination of natural-surface paths and paved streets and sidewalks. The walk starts at the food court in Historic Savage Mill and ends at the Rams Head Tavern, also in the Savage Mill complex. A Pokemon card will be awarded to children who complete the walk.

Start anytime Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and finish by 4 p.m. Meet at Historic Savage Mill, Fair Street, Savage. Free. Call 301-776-6112.

Deaf Awareness Day

Enjoy the company of dolphins and other marine mammals during the National Aquarium's Deaf Awareness Day this Saturday. Interpreters will sign for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors during all scheduled programs, including dolphin shows at the Marine Mammal Pavilion and feedings at the outdoor Seal Pool.

If you're an early riser, have breakfast with the dolphins and go behind the scenes with the dolphin and marine mammal trainers for a look at a dolphin's day. Learn what you can do to protect dolphins, how the aquarium staff performs medical checkups and why dolphin playtime is important.

Breakfast is 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Deaf Awareness Day presentations are 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The National Aquarium is at 501 E. Pratt St. Breakfast admission $22; $14 for members. Regular admission $8.50-$15. Free for ages 2 and under. Call 410-625-0720 (TTY) or 410-576-3845 (voice) or 410-659-4278 (voice).
