Jen Mezzadra scored five goals to lead Salisbury State to a 25-6 romp over visiting Virginia Wesleyan yesterday in a nonconference women's lacrosse game.

Salisbury State (3-1) held a 16-4 advantage at halftime and outshot Wesleyan 47-13. Amanda Almon scored four goals and dished out four assists.

Teammates Stephanie Bozick, Theresa Driscoll and Christine Sliger each added three goals. Sliger also had a game-high six assists.

Virginia Wesleyan dropped to 1-2.

Villa Julie 15, Marymount 7: The Mustangs improved to 2-2 with a victory against the visiting Saints.

Villa Julie jumped out to a 2-1 lead and held the Saints (2-2) scoreless for 21 minutes of the first half, taking a 9-3 advantage into halftime.

Laura Higgs scored four goals to lead Villa Julie.
