Erin Wellner, Jamie Larrimore and Heidi Pearce scored three goals each to lead the Johns Hopkins women to an 18-2 rout of Lehigh yesterday at Homewood Field.

The Blue Jays (2-2) posted an 11-0 halftime advantage over the Engineers (0-1) and allowed just 14 shots on goal, eight in the first half.

Marlena Wittelsberger added two goals for Johns Hopkins.

UMBC 13, George Mason 11, 2OT: Jamie Gerhart scored twice in the final 1:13 of the second overtime to snap an 11-11 tie and give the Retrievers (2-1) a come-from-behind victory over the No. 18 Patriots (2-1) yesterday.

After regulation ended at 10-10, neither team scored in the first three-minute overtime period, but UMBC's Ashley Staines recorded her fifth goal of the game 25 seconds into the second overtime period to provide the Retrievers with their first lead of the game.

George Mason's Susie Craig tied it at 11 on a free-position shot with 1:34 left to play. UMBC won the ensuing draw, and Amanda Eldridge fed Gerhart out front for the game-winning goal with 1:13 remaining.
