Dettweiler promoted by Nauticos Corp.

Nauticos Corp. promoted Tom Dettweiler to general manager and executive vice president. A 10-year employee of Nauticos, Dettweiler oversees daily operations of the Hanover-based deep-sea search and exploration company. With 25 years' experience in deep-sea exploration, he previously was science officer of the oceanographic vessel Calypso and was operations manager for the 1985 expedition that located the Titanic. Most recently, he was expedition leader for the 1999 Nauticos search that found the missing Israeli submarine Dakar.

Palmer is Comcast marketing director

Comcast Cable appointed Hermond E. Palmer Jr. director of marketing and sales for the Baltimore metropolitan area. He oversees marketing and sales strategies for cable service in Baltimore, Harford and Howard counties. He also coordinates communications with customers and heads print and video advertising campaigns. Before joining the cable TV provider, he was marketing director for Lexis-Nexis.

Feger-Childers is named WMAR-TV news director

WMAR-TV Channel 2 named Staci Feger-Childers as news director, responsible for all aspects of the news department, including production and promotion of the station's morning and evening news broadcasts. She comes to the Baltimore ABC network affiliate from WKBW-TV in Buffalo, N.Y.

Bank of Glen Burnie promotes Elswick

Bank of Glen Burnie promoted Kristin C. Elswick to manager of its deposit-processing department. The Crofton resident supervises all areas of deposit activity, including ATM and direct-deposit operations, monthly statements and processing of canceled checks as well as IRA account monitoring and mandatory disbursements.

Mull joins KLNB as broker in Towson

KLNB Inc., the Baltimore regional commercial real estate services firm, hired Michael T. Mull as a broker in its Towson office. Formerly with Corridor Commercial Real Estate Group, he specialized in leasing of office and flex space in the metropolitan area. A Baltimore resident, he graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y., and is a member of several organizations, including the Anne Arundel Commercial and Industrial Agents, The Associated and Business Network International.
