Salisbury State rolls to easy win over York, 17-1

Eleven different players scored goals as Salisbury State routed York, Pa., 17-1, yesterday in a Capital Athletic Conference men's lacrosse game.

Andy Arnold led Salisbury (4-0) with five goals and Mike Sedlak added two goals and an assist.

The Sea Gulls jumped out to a 1-0 lead 10 seconds into the game and never looked back, dominating the first half to take a 14-0 lead into the locker room.

Scott Hermes scored the only goal for the Spartans (0-1).

Women

UMBC 25, Albany 3: The Retrievers (1-0) scored 10 first-half goals en route to a rout of the Great Danes (0-2) at UMBC Stadium.

UMBC was paced by Shannon Gallup, who recorded a game-high eight points (four goals, four assists) and Ashley Staines, who netted five goals.
