John Michael Dirossi, 22, of Edgewood, Harford County, was identified yesterday by state police as the man who was killed Saturday when he ran into traffic on Interstate 95 in White Marsh and was struck by a car.

Dirossi of the 2400 block of Pulaski Highway was driving a 1985 Lincoln Mark VII that police stopped for speeding about 10:15 p.m. on I-95 south. While police were checking the names of Dirossi and a passenger, Dirossi ran across the highway and was struck by a northbound 1997 Toyota Corolla.

State police Sgt. Ernest Wilkinson said the Lincoln had been reported stolen from a tavern parking lot in Abingdon shortly before it was stopped. Wilkinson said the passenger, Don Atley Palmer, 35, of Joppa was charged with auto theft.
