New positions

McCormick names Goode vice president for taxes

McCormick & Co. Inc. promoted H. Grey Goode Jr. to vice president-taxes for the Sparks-based spice and flavorings manufacturer. Goode joined McCormick in 1996 as director of taxes. He previously was vice president and senior tax counsel for RJR Nabisco Inc. A Phoenix resident, he is a graduate of Wake Forest University's law school and received a master of laws degree in taxation from the University of Miami (Florida) law school.

Murphy is vice president at Sandy Spring National

Sandy Spring National Bank of Maryland named Sharon L. Murphy vice president and director of corporate communications. She is responsible for planning and directing the Olney-based bank's advertising and public relations. Murphy has more than 12 years' marketing experience and most recently was marketing communications manager at PriceInteractive of Reston, Va.

Ruggiero joins WTMD-FM as sales representative

WTMD-FM appointed Keri A. Ruggiero underwriting marketing sales representative for the Towson University radio station. She is responsible for marketing air time and assists in efforts to broaden the station's audience. A Towson graduate now living in Carney, she formerly was a sales representative for Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Summers heads marketing for White Marsh Mall

The Rouse Co. promoted Anthony L. Summers to marketing manager of White Marsh Mall. He manages all marketing operations, including advertising, public relations and promotion development. He lives in Columbia and was marketing coordinator for its mall.

Warschawski Public Relations hired Amy Bognaski as a senior associate. Formerly public relations and marketing coordinator with the Maryland Historical Society, she is responsible for clients' media and corporate relations.

Marshall rises to director at American Express Tax

American Express Tax and Business Services promoted Patricia Marshall to a director of the advisory firm. A CPA, she serves clients primarily in the Technology and Emerging Growth Companies/ Manufacturing and Distribution Group. The Duke University graduate lives in Lutherville.
