Morgan tops N.C. A&T, 87-83

Cedrick Barrow scored a game-high and career-high 25 points, and Morgan State withstood a second-half rally to defeat North Carolina A&T, 87-83, at Hill Field House in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game last night.

The Aggies (11-15, 8-9) came back from an 18-point deficit to take a one-point lead late in the game. Morgan strung together three-pointers and free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

The Bears (5-21, 4-14) shot 40.6 percent from the field and 90 percent from the free-throw line to build a 37-29 halftime lead.

In the second half, the Aggies outscored the Bears 54-50. J.J. Miller led the Aggies with 22 and Tarrell Robinson added 20.
