Kyle Farmer

Oakland Mills, indoor track

The senior All-American sparked the top-ranked Scorpions to their third straight Class 2A-1A state crown. Farmer captured the 55-meter dash with a state-record time of 6.38 seconds and the 300 with a state-record time of 33.9 seconds. The gold medals were his seventh and eighth in four indoor track state meets. Farmer, an All-Metro forward for Oakland Mills' Class 1A state champion soccer team, will compete in the New Balance Indoor National Championships in New York next week and will run for the University of Florida next year.

Lillian Drumgold

Western, basketball

A 5-foot-10 senior forward, Drumgold had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Doves past then-sixth-ranked Dunbar, 53-51, for the Baltimore City girls basketball title. Drumgold set the tone by scoring 10 first-quarter points as the Doves, who moved five spots to the No. 8 ranking with the victory, took a lead they never lost. Drumgold, a second-team All-Metro performer last season and a member of the Hurricanes during the Amateur Athletic Union season, is averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Doves, who lost to Dunbar by 27 points earlier this season.
