Following a month-long investigation, Anne Arundel County police charged a Mayo man Friday night with drug-related offenses and seized more than eight grams of crack cocaine from his home.

County police charged Amos Jones Jr., 50, of the 1200 block of Shesley Road, with possession of and intent to distribute cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a deadly weapon, a knife. Police said the cocaine was packaged for sale and estimated its street value at $870. Narcotics officers also recovered $438 in cash at Jones' home, police said.
