Baltimore City
Southwestern District
Drug arrest: District drug enforcement unit police raided a house in the first block of S. Calverton Road on Wednesday and arrested a man on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and simple possession of marijuana. Dartanian Wallace, 19, of the 1900 block of E. Fairmount Ave. was processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.
Drug arrest: Officer Vicki Mengel of the district drug enforcement unit saw a man allegedly in possession of narcotics Tuesday night in the 2200 block of Ramsay St. Mengel questioned him and seized 48 vials of cocaine, valued at $480, and 17 gelatin capsules of heroin, valued at $170. A male, 17, of the 2000 block of W. North Ave. was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.
Theft/arrest: A man and woman, both 30, were arrested Wednesday when they tried to leave the Super Fresh store in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. without paying for baby formula valued at more than $140.
Northwestern District
Drug arrest: District drug enforcement unit officers said they saw a man take narcotics from a 2000 Chrysler sedan Wednesday in the 5000 block of Chalgrove Ave. They arrested him and, after obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle, seized 40 vials of cocaine and $175. Thomas Hill, 26, of the 3000 block of Mathews St. was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Central District
Drug arrests: Police said that after buying drugs Tuesday from a woman in the 1400 block of Druid Hill Ave., drug enforcement unit police arrested her and a teen-age male they saw give her the narcotics. Officers seized 16 gelatin capsules of heroin and nearly $300. Veneea Lyles, 32, of the 800 block of N. Fremont Ave., and the teen, who lives in the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Ave., were charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
Southeastern District
Shooting: A man, 20, was in the first block of S. East Ave. when he was forced into an alley by two men - one armed with a handgun - and shot in the back and both legs. He was in good condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Western District
Robbery: While implying he was armed with a handgun, a man robbed a cashier at the Stop, Shop & Save supermarket in the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. He drove off in a white car with tags FXC 611.
Robbery: A deliveryman for Vizzini's Pizza was about to deliver food to a house in the 1700 block of W. Baltimore St. about 9 p.m. Wednesday when a man stabbed him in the neck and robbed him of more than $100. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Baltimore County
White Marsh Precinct
Robbery: An attendant at the Crown station in the 8600 block of Belair Road told police he was in a back room about 2 a.m. Wednesday when someone came up behind him, hit on the head and stole 19 cartons of cigarettes and $400 from a cash register.
Parkville Precinct
Burglary: Someone entered storage lockers in an apartment building in the 8100 block of Ridgetown Drive on Tuesday and stole property valued at more then $300.
