Drug arrest: A male, 17, was arrested Tuesday in the 2200 block of Druid Hill Ave. after police said he sold $10 worth of cocaine to an officer in the drug enforcement unit. Twenty-seven vials of cocaine and nearly $100 were recovered. Charles Hamm of the 1700 block of N. Bentalou St. was charged as an adult with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Drug arrests: After observing a man allegedly selling marijuana in the 1200 block of Whitelock St. on Tuesday and then entering his house in the 2300 block of McCulloh St. to get more, drug enforcement unit police arrested him. Inside the house, police arrested a second man, who they say was seated near a quantity of marijuana rolling a marijuana cigarette. Police recovered 55 baggies of marijuana and $80. Rickey Foreman, 24, of the McCulloh Street address and Michael Smothers, 22, of the 2400 block of McCulloh St. were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Drug arrests: Police raided a house in the 700 block of N. Monroe St. on Wednesday and arrested two people and seized cocaine valued at more than $10,000, a handgun and $2,600. Edward Leon Samuel, 34, and Sandra Hill, 43, both of the Monroe Street address, were charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
