Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Drug arrest: Drug enforcement unit police saw a man drop suspected narcotics Monday in the 2900 block of Buena Vista St. Officers interviewed the man and seized 25 gelatin capsules of heroin, a plastic bag containing cocaine and nearly $70. Rory Washington, 27, of the 3900 block of Cranston Ave. was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine. Washington was processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Eastern District

Drug arrests: Drug enforcement unit police were about to raid a house Saturday in the 1600 block of E. Lanvale St. when two men entered the dwelling. Police followed, detained the men and searched a second-floor bedroom, where they found 164 gelatin capsules of heroin - valued at $1,640 - and a small sum of cash. William Gee, 37, a resident of the dwelling, and Floyd Porter, 30, of the 5300 block of Denmore Ave. in Pimlico were charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and related offenses.

Southern District

Robbery: A man, 41, was in the 800 block of W. Barre St. about 11 p.m. Monday when two men, one with a shotgun, robbed him of his wallet, cash and a cellular phone, all valued at $175.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Stereo equipment, two telephones and a videocassette recorder, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 300 block of S. Chester St.

Northern District

Burglary: Power tools valued at more than $500 were stolen from Marinelli Enterprises in the 400 block of Merryman Lane between Friday and Monday.

Burglary: Two televisions, a compact disc player, a car stereo system and a cassette player, all valued at $849, were stolen from a house in the 2800 block of Miles Ave. during the weekend.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Someone entered the bedroom of a house in the 4700 block of Beaufort Ave. between Dec. 25 and Jan. 14 and stole several pieces of jewelry, valued at nearly $2,900. The burglary was reported Monday.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Officer assaulted/arrest: Officer Larry Stallings stopped a 1986 Lincoln Town Car about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Reisterstown Road and Linden Terrace for a stolen car check, but the driver sped off and nearly struck him. Moments later on Old Court Road, police stopped the car, which had been reported stolen in Prince George's County. Calvin Anderson, 31, of the 1600 block of E. 33rd St. in Baltimore was charged with attempted murder with a motor vehicle, assault and resisting arrest. He was being held without bail at the Detention Center.

Woodlawn Precinct

Stolen car: While a man was in a store in the 1800 block of Woodlawn Drive on Monday afternoon, someone entered his burgundy 1987 Pontiac Bonneville parked outside and drove off. The car has tags HYB 622.

Vandalism: Someone damaged a 1993 Lexus parked Monday on a lot at Security Square Mall, causing more than $300 damage.
