January 31, 2001

A Taneytown man has been arrested in the burglaries of two Manchester businesses, state police said.

James Bryant III, 23, was charged with two counts of burglary and was being held last night at the Carroll County Detention Center in Westminster, police said.

The burglaries of businesses in Westminster and Hampstead between Christmas Eve and Jan. 17 are under investigation, police said. Few details were available of the Manchester burglaries. Court records show that $80 was stolen from Pizza Garden in the 2900 block of Manchester Road.
