Scholarships offered by Long and Foster; apply by March 1

Graduating high school seniors have until March 1 to submit their applications for Long and Foster Real Estate Inc.'s $100,000 Scholarship Program. The program will award $1,000 to each of 100 recipients throughout the mid-Atlantic region for the 2001-2002 academic year. The award will be payable directly to the college or university in the student's name.

All applications must be in by the deadline. Criteria include a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, demonstrated financial need, and school and community involvement. Winners will be announced in the spring.

Applications may be obtained from any Long and Foster real estate office, high school guidance counselors, or via Long and Foster's Web site: www.longandfoster.com/scholarship or by calling 800-237-8800.
