Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Drug arrests: Four people were arrested Thursday on drug distribution charges after Northern District drug enforcement unit officers raided a house in the 400 block of E. 23rd St. in the Barclay community. Officers seized more than $300 and 20 gelatin capsules of heroin and 6 ounces of crack cocaine, all with a street value of more than $15,000. The suspects were charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to distribute, and simple possession of heroin and crack cocaine and were processed at Central Booking and Intake Center. Police identified the suspects as Bruce Gardner, 37, of the 23rd Street address; Gregory Brown, 29, of the 2700 block of Mathews St.; Irene Chambers, 38, of the 2000 block of E. Eager St.; and Michelle Moore, 33, of the 2600 block of Barclay St. Lt. Michael Tabor, head of the department's drug enforcement section, said the arrests were the culmination of a monthlong investigation by Northern District undercover narcotics officers. The probe arose from residents' complaints of drug trafficking in the area.

Central District

Shooting: An unidentified man was shot about 6:20 p.m. yesterday in the 2200 block of Callow Ave. in Reservoir Hill. The unknown gunman escaped in a white Ford Taurus that may have been driven by a second man. The victim was taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where his condition was not known.

Drug arrest: Police said a woman reported that she was assaulted by her boyfriend Wednesday night at her home in the 800 block of Lennox St. when she refused to give him back his cocaine. She notified district drug enforcement police after the man left. Later, she called him and said she would meet him at a service station in the 1000 block of W. North Ave. and give back the drugs. When he arrived at the gas station, he was identified as her boyfriend and arrested. Police seized cocaine, valued at $3,000. Duane Marable, 20, of the 700 block of N. Carey St. was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Detective David Jones of the district drug enforcement unit said Marable was wanted on an outstanding warrant for allegedly failing to appear in court on a gambling charge and was free on $10,000 bail when he was arrested. Marable was being held on a $35,000 bond at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A man, 49, was walking in the 4800 block of Eastern Ave. about 9 p.m. Friday when two men, one armed with a knife, robbed him of $20. The victim was not injured.

Robbery: After placing an order at Pizza Paradise in the 600 block of S. Conkling St. about 1 a.m. Saturday, a man left and returned a few minutes later and gave a female employee a $50 bill to pay for the food. When the woman reached into her husband's pants pockets and removed money to give the man change, the man pulled a handgun and robbed her of an undisclosed sum and fled.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A woman, 29, was about to enter an apartment building in the 6600 block of Eberle Ave. about 10 p.m. Friday when a man armed with a handgun tried to steal her purse. When she cried out and resisted, he knocked her to the floor and stole the purse. The victim told police the purse contained cash and several pieces of jewelry, all valued at more than $700.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of his wallet, cash and a portable radio, all valued at more than $100, in the 3000 block of Grantley Ave. about 9 a.m. Saturday.

Robbery: A woman, 18, was walking in the 2900 block of Wynham Road about 5 a.m. Friday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed her of a pager of unknown value.

Western District

Burglary: A compact disc player/radio and coins were stolen from a house in the 1600 block of W. Lafayette Ave. during the weekend.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a woman, 23, of her pager in the 200 block of N. Payson St. about 10 p.m. Saturday.

Southern District

Robbery: A boy, 13, was walking in the 1000 block of Shellbanks Road about 6:20 p.m. Saturday when an older male knocked him to the ground and robbed him of more than $40. The victim was not injured.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Murder try/arrest: Police said a man armed with a shotgun entered a doctor's office in the 700 block of Maiden Choice Lane in Arbutus about 4:10 p.m. Friday and allegedly pointed a shotgun at his estranged wife. The man was subdued by witnesses, one of whom he assaulted. The woman was not injured. Robert Miller, 31, of the 5000 block of Kenilworth Ave. in Hyattsville, Prince George's County, was charged with attempted murder, assault and a deadly weapon violation. He was being held at the Wilkens Precinct pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

Stolen car: While a woman was paying for fuel at a Crown service station in the 6000 block Baltimore National Pike about 4 p.m. Friday, a man entered her 1995 Toyota Tercel and drove away. The car has tags WHA 146.
