Area schools and literacy programs seek volunteers to help children and adults to improve reading skills and to assist in related projects. Among them are:

Francis Scott Key Technology Magnet School, 1425 E. Fort Ave., Baltimore, which needs reading tutors to work one-on-one with pupils in first through third grades weekdays during school hours. Contact: Nancy Collins, PTA president, 410-396-1503.
