The All-Howard County 130-pounder defeated the three top-ranked wrestlers in his weight class last week. In a dual meet last Tuesday, Radik, a senior who placed second at states in Class 1A-2A last season, defeated No. 1 Ryan Green of River Hill, 7-5. Radik then posted a 5-2 decision against No. 2 Zak Johns of McDonogh and nipped No. 3 Matt Schuster of Franklin, 5-4, to capture the 130-pound crown of the Hammond Invitational. Radik is 13-2 for the sixth-ranked Raiders, who are 5-1 in the county, and 8-2 overall.

Nelson, a 5-foot-7 senior point guard, had 25 points and five assists in a 61-56 overtime loss to Roland Park and scored a career-high 27 points and added three assists in a 56-47 triumph over Mercy. In the game against Mercy, the University of Massachusetts-bound Nelson made six of nine three-point shots and five of six free throws. An All-Baltimore City/County player last season, Nelson is averaging 14.4 points and 4.7 assists per game for the 17th-ranked Eagles. Nelson also plays soccer and softball.
