Baltimore City

Northern District

Drug arrests: Drug enforcement unit police with a search-and-seizure warrant entered an apartment in the 2800 block of Virginia Ave. yesterday after an investigation into drug trafficking around Queensberry and Oakley avenues in Pimlico and arrested two men on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and illegal possession of a .357 Magnum handgun. Detective Wayne Lang said cocaine valued at more than $1,700 and the handgun were recovered. Processed at Central Booking and Intake Center were Shawn Whitaker, 23, of the Virginia Avenue address and Leroy Whitaker, 18, of the 4900 block of Queensberry Ave.

Northwestern District

Drug arrest: Police arrested yesterday a man, 24, and seized cocaine valued at $600 after entering his house in the 4900 block of Queensberry Ave. during an investigation of drugs being distributed from the dwelling. Charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and processed at Central Booking and Intake Center was Alvin Whitaker.

Robbery: A man, 54, was in the 6100 block of Gist Ave. about 9 p.m. Sunday when a man exited a gold-colored Lexus or Chevrolet Malibu and robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money while implying he was armed with a handgun.

Stolen vehicle: A green two-door 1999 Honda with tags FNT 845 was stolen in the 5300 block of Reisterstown Road on Sunday.

Western District

Carjacking: A male motorist was stopped for a traffic signal in the 700 block of N. Fulton Ave. about 9 p.m. Sunday when a man armed with a shotgun entered his 1998 Chevrolet Lumina and ordered him to drive away. Two blocks away on North Stricker Street, the gunman forced the motorist from the vehicle and drove off. The car has tags VXJ 033.

Shooting: A man, 32, was reported in good condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being shot in the lower back in the 2500 block of Salem St. about 1:30 a.m. Sunday by an unknown assailant.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: After flagging down the driver of a 1986 Plymouth Voyager with tags M533295 about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of N. Ellamont St., a man pulled a handgun, forced the driver out and drove off.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed 7-Eleven in the 500 block of Swann Ave. of more than $100 and cigarettes valued at $72 about 4 a.m. Sunday.

Robbery: A man, 43, was robbed of $250 by a gunman in the 100 block of N. Franklintown Road about 7 p.m. Saturday.

Carjacking: Two gunmen forced the driver of a 1998 Toyota out of the vehicle in the 4600 block of Old Frederick Road about Sunday and robbed him of a leather coat and jewelry, all valued at $700, before driving away in the victim's vehicle.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: Hand and power tools, all valued at $600, were stolen Sunday from a Chevrolet pickup truck parked in the 5500 block of Pennington Ave.

Stolen car: A blue four-door 1991 Honda with tags HZZ 769 was stolen yesterday in the 2400 block of Marbourne Ave.

Theft from vehicle: Someone entered a 1996 Honda parked in the 1000 block of Olive St. yesterday through a rear door and stole a cellular phone and its adapter, blank compact discs and two compact disc players, all valued at nearly $2,000.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 33, from the 900 block of Wilmot Court was in the 600 block of Aisquith St. about 9 p.m. Sunday when another man shot him in the lower back. The gunman escaped, and the victim was reported in critical condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery: Police continue to seek a man who, after purchasing a newspaper at Royal Farms in the 6000 block of Falls Road about midnight Friday, removed an undisclosed sum of money from a cash register while implying he was armed with a handgun.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 46, was reported yesterday in fair condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after a man she knows struck her in the face, head and hands with his fists during an argument Friday in the 3900 block of McDowell Lane in Baltimore Highlands over money she owed him. During the argument, the man displayed a handgun.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A 12-gauge Remington pump shotgun valued at $200 was stolen between Thursday and Sunday from a house in the first block of English Run Turn in Sparks by someone who entered through a window.
