Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Drug arrests: Officers from three police districts posed as drug dealers Friday in the area of Poplar Grove Street and Westwood Avenue and arrested 24 people attempting to purchase drugs. One man was arrested for hindering police by yelling, "Five 0," street slang for police. Officers seized almost $500, a small quantity of cocaine and three vehicles. Two suspects were from Virginia. All were processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Drug arrest: Officers witnessed an alleged drug transaction in the 1700 block of Poplar Grove St. on Saturday afternoon and arrested a man, 28, and seized 155 gelatin capsules of heroin, valued at nearly $1,600. They also seized $1,200 and the man's 1995 Chrysler Concord. Milford Freeland of the 300 block of Martingale Ave. was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Southeastern District

Robbery/arrest: Officers Donna Jackson and Kevin Allis were in the 3200 block of E. Fayette St. about 1 a.m. Saturday when they saw a gunman rob two women of their purses. The officers chased the man and arrested him. They recovered the purses, which contained cash and property all valued at $500, and seized a BB pistol -- a replica of a large-caliber handgun. Lawrence Mosley, 19, of the 500 block of N. Robinson St. was charged with armed robbery and a handgun violation.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed Advance Auto Parts in the 4600 block of W. Northern Parkway of an undisclosed sum of money about 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Western District

Shooting: A man, 18, was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after a gunman shot him in the right shoulder about 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Parkwood Ave.

Robbery: Two men attacked a man, 51, in the 1800 block of Edmondson Ave. about 9:40 p.m. Saturday and robbed him of a money order for $375 and a shopping bag that contained a new pair of boots.

Shooting: A man, 22, was about to enter a house in the 500 block of N. Payson St. about 12:30 p.m. Friday when a man fired several shots at him, hitting him at least once in the right arm. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police were seeking a suspect known as "Stink Man," who drove away in a Mercury Marquis with unknown tags.

Shooting: A male, 16, was shot in the right forearm about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of Penrose Ave. He was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The occupants of a Chevrolet Lumina were being sought.

Southern District

Robbery: A man, 37, and a woman, 27, were walking in the 200 block of E. Montgomery St. about 6 p.m. Saturday when two men, one of whom implied he was armed with a handgun, robbed the woman of $10.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A man, 20, was at Hogarth and Rossbrook circles about 8:30 p.m. Saturday when two men asked him for directions. Before the victim responded, one of the men pulled a handgun and robbed him of his overcoat, valued at more than $200.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: After purchasing a soft drink at Holabird Liquors in the 7100 block of Holabird Ave. about 8 p.m. Saturday, a man pulled a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him money from a cash register. The gunman fled with an unknown sum.
