Conference geared to restoration, renovation industry

A conference for restoration and renovation industry professionals will be held in Washington today through Wednesday.

The show, Restoration and Renovation 2001, is geared toward architects, interior designers, builders and contractors interested in rehabilitating older buildings.

The conference will feature about 270 exhibitors and 80 sessions. Topics to be covered range from building exteriors and interiors, gardens, landscapes, streetscapes, heritage areas and historic sites.

The cost for the session, at the Hilton & Towers Hotel at 1919 Connecticut Ave. N.W., is $40. Information: 800-982-6247.
