Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Robbery/shooting: John Jarosinski, 77, treasurer of White Eagle Credit Union in the 1700 block of Eastern Ave., was in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was shot during a robbery near the thrift about 5 p.m. Tuesday. Jarosinski was getting out of his car when he was accosted by three men, one of whom robbed him of a briefcase that contained business papers. One of the robbers shot Jarosinski in the face with a handgun. The men fled north on South Regester Street. No arrests had been made.

Northwestern District

Rape: A man known as "Dee Dee" was being sought in the rape Tuesday of a girl, 15, in the hallway of a vacant building in the 5200 block of Denmore Ave. The girl was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Burglary: A 25-inch television, videocassette recorder and video games, all valued at $500, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 4000 block of Ridgewood Ave.

Northern District

Stolen car: A green 1995 Plymouth van with handicap tags 82573HD was stolen in the 3600 block of Ash St. between Dec. 3 and Jan. 2.

Central District

Bank robbery: A man, who implied he was armed with a handgun, robbed Carrollton Bank in the 300 block of N. Charles St. of an undisclosed sum of money about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Theft: Two teen-age boys got into a 1998 Komaster forklift that was parked about 8 p.m. Tuesday outside a Wal-Mart store near the 2300 block of North Point Blvd. and drove it more than a mile to Kavanagh Road and Dineen Drive. There they abandoned the forklift and rode away on their bicycles. No arrests had been made.

Arrest: After police stopped the driver of a car at Sollers Point and Belclare roads Tuesday because the license tag light was not working, a man hiding in the rear of the vehicle fled on foot but was caught a short distance away. Police learned that police in Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties and the Baltimore City sheriff had issued warrants for his arrest for minor offenses. Police found cocaine in the car. The names of the driver and passenger were not available.

Theft/arrest: An East Baltimore man was arrested Tuesday when he tried to leave the Value City store at Eastpoint Mall without paying for clothing, electronic equipment and bed sheets, all valued at $232. Melvin Wax, 25, of the 1700 block of E. 25th St. was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone broke into the Royal Farms store in the 1600 block of W. Joppa Road early Tuesday and stole at least 30 cartons of cigarettes.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A white 1989 Oldsmobile Delta with tags GDZ 882 was stolen Tuesday in the first block of Woodthorn Court in Owings Mills.

Stolen car: A blue 1987 Toyota Celica with tags HKY 616 was stolen Tuesday in the 9600 block of Winans Road in Randallstown.

Burglary: A combination compact disc player-radio was stolen Monday from a house in the 15000 block of Hanover Pike in Reisterstown.
