Douglas Homes has a model open and two single-family home sites available at its Village of River Hill community in Howard County. Six more home sites will be available in February.
The community, the last of nine villages in Columbia, offers 13 home plans, from 2,300 square feet to 4,000 square feet, with base prices of $379,100 to $448,400.
The homes are on public water and sewer systems and come with gas heat and electric cooking and hot water. Standard features include 9-foot ceilings on the main level, vinyl siding, and a family room with wood-burning fireplace.
The model home, the Sterling, has a base price ranging from $412,900 to $431,900 for 3,250 square feet (prices vary with lot size) and comes with a two-car garage. The model has several upgrades, including an optional sun room and extra bedroom, and costs $595,000 for 3,650 square feet.
The first floor has a ceramic-floor foyer, 14-by-16-foot living room, 14-by-16-foot dining room, 14-by-12-foot sun room, 11-by- 13-foot breakfast room with adjacent kitchen, 17-by-18-foot family room and a 12-by-13-foot study- guest room.
The second floor consists of a 16-by-18-foot master bedroom with sitting room and master bath, 12-by-11-foot bedroom, full bathroom, 11-by-14-foot bedroom and 14-by-15-foot bedroom.
To get to River Hill from Baltimore, take Interstate 695 to Interstate 95 south. Take Route 32 toward Clarksville. Follow to Route 108 and turn right at the end of the off ramp. At the second light, turn right onto Great Star Drive. Turn left on Rippling Water Walk; the Douglas Homes model is the sixth home on the left.
