Baltimore City
Western District
Carjacking: A male motorist was stopped at North Avenue and St. Paul Street about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when a gunman forced himself into the man's 1988 Mercury Cougar and ordered him to drive away. At North and Pennsylvania avenues, the gunman ordered the driver out and sped away in the car. The car has tags FNN 970.
Drug arrests: Drug enforcement officers raided two adjoining rowhouses Tuesday in the 1800 block of W. Lafayette Ave. and arrested 11 people on drug charges. Police seized cocaine, marijuana, two rifles and a handgun.
Southwestern District
Drug arrests: Between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday, drug enforcement officers arrested 10 people who were selling cocaine or heroin in an area bordered by West Baltimore Street, Hilton Parkway, Monroe Street and Wilkens Avenue. Officers seized narcotics worth nearly $2,000, a .22-caliber handgun and $800. Those arrested were charged with possession of cocaine or heroin with intent to distribute.
Drug arrest: Donald Burris, 21, of the 1300 block of Limit Ave. was arrested Tuesday in the 100 block of N. Calverton Road and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Police seized 31 capsules of heroin, at $310, and nearly $500.
Drug arrest: Drug enforcement police were in the 500 block of S. Bentalou St. on Tuesday when they saw a man toss suspected narcotics into a car he left. In the car, police found 107 capsules of heroin valued at more than $1,000. They arrested Artis Holt, 29, of the 4700 block of Winterset Way, Owings Mills, and seized a 1994 Nissan.
Burglary: Stereo equipment, compact disc player, jewelry and two suitcases, all valued at more than $2,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 100 block of Stonecroft Road.
Northwestern District
Burglary: A 25-inch television, two gold rings, clothing and a Colt .38-caliber revolver with serial No. 746537 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 4100 block of Wentworth Road.
Burglary: A microwave oven, gold jewelry, vacuum cleaner and Christmas toys were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 3900 block of Edgewood Ave.
Burglary: Two videocassette recorders, a 13-inch television and other electronic equipment was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 4500 block of Fairfax Road.
Burglary: A 19-inch television, a videocassette recorder and video games, all valued at nearly $400, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 4100 block of Maine Ave.
Southeastern District
Stolen car: A white 1995 Subaru Impreza with tags GGN 656 was stolen Tuesday in the 3400 block of E. Fairmount Ave.
Eastern District
Robbery: A woman, 45, was in a carryout restaurant in the 300 block of E. North Ave. about 10 p.m. Tuesday when a man asked if she wanted to buy drugs. She refused and the man stole her Purse, containing $50, and fled.
Robbery: A male, 17, was in the 1300 block of N. Eden St. about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when four other males robbed him of $4 and groceries valued at $6.
Baltimore County
Towson Precinct
Robbery: A gunman robbed the Royal Farms store in the 1500 block of E. Joppa Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Robbery try: A woman, 56, was outside the Rite Aid store in the 6300 block of York Road about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday when a man tried to steal her purse. The woman resisted and cried out, alerting the manager of the pharmacy, who left the store and chased the suspect from the scene.
Woodlawn Precinct
Robbery try: A man armed with a sawed-off shotgun fled without taking any money from the Royal Farms store in the 5300 block of Old Court Road about 10 p. m. Tuesday when an employee refused to open the cash register.
Cockeysville Precinct
Burglary: Several pieces of computer equipment and a telephone, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 100 block of Green Meadow Drive.
Essex Precinct
Burglary: Two bicycles and power tools were stolen from a shed in the 200 block of N. Marlyn Ave. overnight Sunday.
