The Orioles' 2001 FanFest, a two-day event in past years, will be held on Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center. It's being billed as a "day-long celebration of baseball," with players, clinics and exhibits.
The event will include interactive games; fan forums with Orioles coaches, front-office executives and media members; baseball card and memorabilia dealers, museum exhibits, and autograph and photo sessions.
Fans also will be permitted to tour the Orioles' clubhouse at Camden Yards as part of their admission.
Among players expected to appear are catchers Brook Fordyce and Greg Myers, infielder Jerry Hairston, outfielder Albert Belle and pitchers Sidney Ponson, Jason Johnson, Ryan Kohlmeier, Chuck McElroy, B.J. Ryan and Jay Spurgeon.
Tickets will be $10 for adults, and $5 for children 14 and under and senior citizens. They are available in advance at the Orioles' box office and through the Orioles' website at www.theorioles.com, or on the day of the event at the Convention Center and the Orioles' box office.
